Back from YCS

Greeting gentlemen.

Sorry I couldn't post this earlier.  I was completely exhausted from last weekend.  It was extremely fun and I did extremely well.

I ended up playing with the same deck
I posted earlier and went very far with it.  I had a feature for the fifth match, then another one on the ninth, another one in the top 16, and I got a deck profile.

I lost in my last feature match and ended up with only a mat and 24 packs.


Bottom line is, I had a great time and topped with Sasuke Samurai #2.

YCS San Jose 2

Aloha Allies,

We arrived at the ghetto ass Motel 6 at around 9:30.  We're too cheap and Asian to pay for the proper room so we're all staying in one.  All seven of us.

My friends are practicing for tomorrow.  Fixing their decks and calling our friend Ching a scrub for being so bad.

That's Ching, he's the baby of our group.  We pick on him all the time but we don't mean anything by it.  He's a pretty cool guy but he doesn't think a lot of the time.


Well, it's past midnight now so we're probably going to sleep soon.  I'll tell you how we do tomorrow.

YCS San Jose

Hello bromigos!

I know I just started this shit but I want to tell you I'm going to be at YCS (Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series) San Jose.  It's pretty exciting to me.  Me and 6 friends will be driving up north later on today.  6 hours in a car filled to the brim with guys.  Sounds like I'll be having the time of my life!

I'm going to be running a scrap deck, not sure not sure of the final build ut currently it looks something liek this.

I know what you're thinking, "No books?  Everyone runs 3 books!  What are you doing!?"
Well, I decided against them seeing as how 1) Scrap Dragon protects me during my opponent's turn by resurrecting either Golem or Goblin, 2) Scrap Dragon can just blow up their cards on my turn without attacking, and 3) I'm too ghetto to afford foil books and don't buy cards unless they're maxed pimp.

The next thing you might notice is the very few traps I'm running.  I was honestly going to run none but I had a foil Ultimte Offering on my table when I was making this and my friend told me to just throw in the wing blast.  It's not like I need a lot of protection.  I mean look, two Faders and a Gorz on top of the easily summoned Scrap Dragon is already enough to prevent me from dying on my opponent's turn.

The final thing I believe you must be asking is "What in the world is Sasuke Samurai #2 doing in there?"  Let me say this, Sasuke Samurai #2 is a boss.  I bring it out with One for One, call priority and the rest of the turn is easy goings.  Either tribute it for Golem to make a dragon or blow up my opponent with an already existing one.  They won't be able to respond since Sasuke Samurai would have already used his effect.

I know this sounds bad and there's a good reason for that.  It's because it is bad.  I'm a bade player but cheer for me while I'm at YCS anyway!  Maybe I'll get a feature match.
